The Sister Care manual was developed by co-presenters Rhoda Keener and Carolyn Heggen along with Ruth Lapp Guengerich.

In 2015, Heggen with Keener wrote an international version of the manual:  Sister Care: Equipping Women for Healing MInistry.

In 2018, Heggen and Keener transitioned to leading only international Sister Care Seminars. Carolyn Heggen is a psychotherapist specializing in trauma healing.  Rhoda Keener is a psychotherapist who serves as the Sister Care International Director for Mennonite Women USA.

The North American Sister Care presenters are:

Alicia Manning, Williamsburg, Virginia, of Calvary Community Church, is an educator, minister, therapeutic foster parent and caretaker with a calling to help others unpack the pain of trauma and embrace healing.

Hyacinth Stevens, West Haven, Connecticut, is the Pastor at King of Glory Tabernacle in the Bronx, NY and Program Coordinator in New York for MCC East Coast. She has a passion for transformative discipleship.

Jill Swiers Baker, Albany, Oregon, is a high school counselor and a healer at her core; she feels a call to healing ministry for those whom God has put in her life.

Twila Lehman, Albany, Oregon, formerly a community college instructor, brings her love of teaching, encouraging, advising, and supporting to Sister Care.

Hildalejandra Pellecer, Grand Prairie, Texas, is a member of the executive board of Iglesia Menonita Hispana and feels called to help bring healing in women’s lives.

Grace Tijerina, Brownsville, Texas, serves as a pastor and church planter with an open heart to walk with women in their journeys of healing from difficult experiences.

Marta Castillo, Norristown, Pennsylvania, is a pastor passionate about connecting people with a gracious God who loves and heals through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sandy Drescher-Lehman, Green Lane, Pennsylvania, is a spiritual director and pastor at Methacton Mennonite Church who counts it a privilege to walk with people through the joys and difficulties of life.
