Exploring the Barriers to Achieving Professional Goals

Cyneatha will team up with Karen Lehman to lead a workshop March 1 at the Mennonite Health Services’ annual conference, Cultivate Joy.

Women in Leadership: Exploring the Barriers to Achieving Professional Goals
Karen Lehman, President & CEO, MHS Alliance Consulting | Cyneatha Millsaps, Executive Director, Mennonite Women USA
In today’s leadership settings, most of us describe men and women as equally capable when it comes to the key qualities and behaviors that are essential for top leaders in business. Yet women make up only a small share of top leadership jobs, with women of color facing an even higher gap in terms of opportunity. Playing out in politics and in the national media, it is apparent that views about women, the barriers they face, and their prospects for the future are still not equal to men. What are these barriers, and how can women and men address the stereotypes and disparities that keep women from reaching higher leadership positions?

Start: March 1, 2019 8:45 am
End: March 1, 2019 10:00 am
Venue: Hyatt Regency Hotel
Address:
400 W Waterman, Wichita, 67202, United States
