Mennonite Women USA announces the newly launched online shop added to their website in late June 2015. It was created and developed in response to the needs and desires expressed by their supporters. Instead of having to call the office or send a letter indicating interest for particular materials, the Mennonite Women USA shop has all of their resources and materials available at the touch of a button.
The store is fully functional and responds to customers shopping from their desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Now you can purchase as many copies of the latest Bible Study Guide Spark: Igniting Your God-Given Creativity right online for your groups or Sunday School classes.
With the launch of this new digital store Mennonite Women USA is offering bundle pricing for Sister Care materials, too. The discount encourages visitors to purchase their desired materials in a bundle to save money. One such offer brings a 20% savings over purchasing items individually.
Another change to the Mennonite Women USA merchandise: whole dollar amounts. Bible study guides are $9, the Everence-sponsored Sister Care t-shirts are $13, and back issues of Timbrel magazine are just $2. One premise of the update was to simplify the shopping experience and whole dollar amounts was one way to streamline the process.
The expansion to make materials more widely available necessitated providing the Sister Care DVD content via an online streaming platform. For women’s groups and gathering places around the world without easy access to DVD players, an online streaming option may be a solution given Internet availability.
This new online shop is directly aligned with the MW USA mission which states they are to empower women and women’s groups—and a simplified way to access engaging, ethical materials written by and for women is one step towards fulfilling that mission.
Executive director, Marlene Bogard, has this to say about the addition of their new online shop, “In today’s world, the ‘click-and-buy’ format is expected. We are happy to offer this easy access to our wonderful resources.”
